The album is a recounting of a couple of short trips taken just before the first coronavirus lockdown. Nights in a mysterious hotel you booked just a day in advance, taking a trip downtown, wandering the streets of an unfamiliar city, the sensation of not knowing where you are while being a little too intoxicated to find your way home, and finally the ennui you feel when you return home to your old life.

This album was a new direction for me, and was the first time that I tried to tap into songs from a pure Vaporwave perspective. I talk often to the members of Donor Lens, who enjoyed what they called the “Lo-Fi Funk” approach to a number of the tracks.
